Our team consists of straightforward and highly qualified specialists who have acquired their knowledge in a wide range of IT fields. Together with ongoing training, this results in a very broad range of expertise.

exaSys AG was founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of HiHo AG to take over the expansion of IT services as an independent division. HiHo AG has been in existence since 2002 and currently offers services in the hosting and housing sector. Both companies were transferred to the holding company TGS Group GmbH at the beginning of 2011 as part of an internal reorganization. exaSys AG is 100 percent self-financed. We work with continuity and strive for sustainable growth. In addition to TGS Group GmbH, Daniel Kunz also has a stake in the company.

Why exaSys

The name exaSys is composed of exa and Sys. Exa comes from Greek and means "above all" or "six times" and mathematically stands for 10¹⁸ – an order of magnitude used in IT for extremely large amounts of data. While mega, giga, and terabytes are commonplace today, large companies are already working with petabyte systems.

As storage capacities are developing rapidly and modern computers already have several terabytes, it is quite possible that computers will be equipped with exabyte storage in a few decades. Sys stands for "system" – a term used in computer science for computers, servers, or complete IT environments.
